In Memory of Dorisleen "Doris" Johnson

Dorisleen Romaine "Doris" Johnson, 54, of Fredericksburg passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at home surrounded by her loved ones. Dorisleen was born April 30, 1960, in Spotsylvania County to Dansy Johnson and the late James Carter. She was raised by her aunt, the late Inez Scott. Doris received her education in Spotsylvania County schools. She chose Jesus as her Lord and Savior and joined Piney Branch Baptist Church in Spotsylvania at an early age. She later reunited with her church and attended until her health began to fail. Doris leaves to cherish her memory her two sons, Milo Johnson (Jen) and Delano Johnson Sr. (Shontrese), both of Fredericksburg; seven grandchildren, Tykasia and Delano Jr., both of whom she raised, and Tahvon, Tavarion, Kyshawn, Tyshawn and Delaysia, all of Fredericksburg; her mother, Dansy Johnson of Fredericksburg; four brothers, Roger Johnson, Ralph Johnson (Julie), Frankie Johnson (Bennie) and Bruce Johnson (Teresa), all of Fredericksburg; three sisters, Sharon Sprow (Geoff), Sheila Chew (Ronnie) and Rita Carter, all of Spotsylvania; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 5, at Mount Zion Baptist Church, followed by the service at noon. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Memorial Park.
